Standard Air Pillows

Standard air pillows are the workhorse of any packing line. They are the pillow you reach for when a carton is bigger than what is inside it and you need to fill the gap, immobilize the product, and close the box in seconds. The 8×8″ and 8×4″ sizes handle the majority of everyday e-commerce parcels, from a single boxed item to a small cluster of goods that need to be kept from shifting in transit. Bought custom and in bulk, they cost a fraction of a cent to a few cents per pillow, which makes them the most economical protection per cubic inch you can put in a box.

Where a plain commodity pillow just takes up room, a custom-printed standard pillow does two jobs at once. It protects the shipment and it carries your brand into the unboxing moment. A repeating logo or a short line of copy across each chamber turns dead space into a touchpoint, and because the print is flexographic and applied to the film before inflation, it stays crisp on every pillow in the case. Buyers routinely tell us the branded version costs almost nothing extra over blank film once the run is priced, so there is little reason to ship a generic pillow.

Protection comes from the co-extruded HDPE film and the way each chamber is sealed. At roughly 20 to 25 micron the film resists the punctures and pressure that flatten cheaper pillows mid-route, so the cushion is still doing its job when the parcel reaches the customer rather than arriving as a deflated sheet. Every pillow is individually perforated, which means packers tear exactly what they need at the station without wrestling a chain of connected cushions, keeping the line fast and the material waste low.
